Arlington sits between Fort Worth and Dallas, and we run jobs here most weeks. We are based in Burleson, about 20 minutes away. Central and east Arlington hold a lot of older homes on small lots. Many went up long before the newer subdivisions on the south side of town. Some come down so a bigger house can go up on the same lot. Others come down after a fire or years of water damage. Older strip centers along Division Street and Cooper Street reach the end of their life too. We take those buildings down and haul the debris off ourselves.
Texas Best Demolition is owned by Monty Cain. He has spent decades on demolition and dirt work around Tarrant County. He built a local demolition company years ago and sold it, then started this one. About 20 people work for us now. In Arlington we tear down houses, mobile homes, pools, and commercial buildings. We also break out concrete, dig and haul dirt, cut grades for new slabs, and build ponds. Our machines run from compact excavators up to a Kobelco 350. Dozers and wheel loaders move the dirt, and skid loaders handle the tight spots. Three roll-off trucks and about 75 dumpsters mean we haul our own debris.

A lot of Arlington teardowns sit on lots between Downtown Arlington and the east side. Streets near UTA and Woodland West have small, older houses with big trees close to the house. Those lots leave little room for a big machine to swing. We size the excavator to the lot instead of forcing the biggest one in. Fences, driveways, power lines, and the water meter get checked before the first bucket drops. Once the house is down, we load it out and grade the dirt so the lot drains. Dalworthington Gardens sits inside that same stretch as its own small city, so check permits with them.
The City of Arlington requires a permit before a building is demolished or razed. Permits go through Planning and Development Services, and the city runs an online permit portal. Arlington also publishes a separate demolition permit process for structures 50 years or older. Older houses in central Arlington can take extra review because of that. Rules change, so check the current requirement with the city before you set a date. Utilities have to be cut and cleared first, and that timing usually sets the schedule. Call us and we will go over the permit and utility steps for your lot.
Plenty of Arlington backyards hold a pool that was put in decades ago. The plaster cracks and the deck heaves, and the yard stops getting used. A removal can take the whole shell out or fill it in place. Full removal takes out all the concrete and steel, then brings in clean fill. Buyers and lenders often ask which method was used when the house sells later. Partial fill costs less and works when you plan to stay. We talk through both before you pick one, and we haul the concrete off ourselves.
Commercial jobs in Arlington often start with an old shop or strip center on Division Street or Cooper Street. Some buildings come down whole. Others need only part removed, with the rest left standing and open for business. We can pull a slab, clear the site, and grade it for the next build. Our roll-off trucks stay on site so debris does not pile up next to a working parking lot. Work near the Entertainment District and I-30 has to fit around traffic and event days. We run 17 to 18 house teardowns at a time, and commercial work runs alongside it.
