Commercial demolition is the work of taking a business building all the way down and hauling off what is left. Texas Best Demolition handles that work out of Burleson, TX, for Fort Worth and the southwest side of the Metroplex. Owner Monty Cain has spent decades running demolition and dirt work jobs in and around Burleson. He built and sold a demolition company here, then launched Texas Best Demolition in late 2024.
About 20 people work here, and every machine this work takes is already sitting in our yard. Our excavators start at the compact Bobcat E88 for inside work and run up to the Kobelco 350. Most commercial demolition work falls into a handful of building types that we take down again and again. Retail buildings and strip centers come down when a tenant moves out or the owner rebuilds the whole site. Warehouses, shop buildings, offices, and older service garages come down for much the same set of reasons. A Kroger store teardown is on our schedule right now, and big-box retail is steady work for this crew.
The size and the build of a structure decide which machine leads the job and how it comes apart. A single-story shop building or a small office comes down under a mid-size excavator like our Kobelco 140. A long retail box or heavy steel framing gets the Kobelco 270 or the Kobelco 350 instead. Block, brick, poured concrete, and structural steel all come apart with the machines already sitting in our yard.
Interior demolition means we take out what is inside a building while the structure itself keeps standing. Selective demolition means we pull out only the parts you point at, and everything else is left alone. That is real work for us right now inside occupied industrial buildings that stay open the whole time. On one of those jobs we saw-cut sections of the slab and dug them out with an excavator, indoors.
Indoor demolition needs machines small enough to fit through a door and to work under a low roof. That is where the compact Bobcat E88 and our three skid loaders earn their keep on a job. Dust control and floor protection matter more inside a live building than on an open teardown. Debris still goes straight out to a roll-off container, so your people get the floor back sooner.
Every commercial demolition job starts the same way, with a close look at the building and the whole site. We check the access, the buildings next to it, the utility runs, and where trucks can stage. Utilities have to be shut off and confirmed dead before any of our machines touch the building. Once all of that is cleared, the teardown itself is usually the fastest part of the project.
Haul-off is where a lot of demolition jobs slow down, so we keep that part of it in house. Three roll-off trucks and roughly 75 dumpsters keep debris moving off the site while the crew works.
