Dirt work is where Monty Cain got his start, and it is still core to this company. We dig and haul dirt for builders and property owners across Burleson and the rest of the Fort Worth area. One job might be a foundation dig on a tight city lot with a fence in the way. The next is a big ranch job where our largest excavator does the digging.
Monty ran dirt work and roll-off dumpster businesses for years before he started Texas Best Demolition in late 2024. He also built and sold a demolition company here in Burleson before this one. That history shows up in the equipment, from a compact Bobcat E88 up to a Kobelco 350. Dozers, wheel loaders, three skid loaders, and our own trucks and trailers fill out the rest.

Dirt work covers the digging and hauling that has to happen before a builder can pour a foundation. We do that work in Burleson, Fort Worth, Arlington, and the rest of the southwest side of the Metroplex. Our area runs through southern Tarrant County and northern Johnson County, with some jobs over the Dallas County line. Some of our dirt work is on a single city lot, and some of it is on a working ranch. Right now we have a very large pond job running on a ranch, plus dirt jobs beside 17-18 house demolitions. Rural work has its own problems, like long haul roads and soft ground after rain. We have about 20 people, so we can keep a big dirt job moving and still cover smaller ones.
Cut and fill means we take dirt off the high spots and move it to the low ones. Done right, the dirt you already own does most of the work, and you buy less fill dirt. We check the grades before we start, so the cut and the fill come close to balancing. If they do not balance, we say so early, and we either haul dirt in or take it away.
We trench for water lines, sewer lines, electric, and storm drain on jobs of every size. We also dig out for foundations, footings, drives, and parking areas on new construction. The right machine matters here, since a trench next to a house is a different job than an open field. We bring a Bobcat E88 into tight backyards, and a Kobelco 270 or 350 when the dig runs deep.
We haul dirt in and out with our own roll-off trucks and high-side trailers. If your site has more dirt than the plan calls for, we load it out and take it away. If the site needs fill, we bring in dirt and place it where the plan puts it. Because the trucks are ours, the schedule stays in our hands, and a full site does not stop the machines.
A good share of our dirt work happens right after a demolition on the same property. Once the building is gone, we backfill the hole and clean the leftover debris out of the dirt.
