Benbrook sits in southwest Tarrant County, right up against the edge of Fort Worth. Much of the town filled in after the Army Corps finished Benbrook Lake back in 1950. Homes went up through the late 1950s and the 1960s as the population climbed fast. So much of the housing here is brick ranch homes on slabs that are sixty years old. Driveways have cracked and lifted, and backyard pools from that era have outlived their equipment. Lots near the lake and up on the hills slope hard, so water finds the low spots.
We are Texas Best Demolition, based in Burleson, a short drive southeast of Benbrook. Monty Cain owns the company and has spent decades doing demolition and dirt work around Tarrant County. Our crew runs about twenty people, with excavators from compact size up to a Kobelco 350. We also run dozers, wheel loaders, skid loaders, and three roll-off trucks with about seventy-five dumpsters. In Benbrook we take down houses, break out concrete, fill in old pools, and remove mobile homes. We handle commercial demolition, excavation, grading, site prep, and pond work too, and estimates are free.

Benbrook Estates was platted back in 1946, and areas like Bomber Heights filled in later. Plenty of those backyards got a gunite pool in the 1960s or 1970s. Sixty years on, the shell is cracked and the plumbing leaks under the deck. We remove pools two ways. A partial removal breaks the top of the shell and punches drainage holes in the bottom. Then we backfill with clean dirt and compact it in lifts. A full removal pulls out the whole shell and the plumbing under it.
Concrete is the other call we get a lot in Benbrook. Driveways poured in the 1960s sit on clay that swells when wet and shrinks when dry. The slab lifts at the joints and cracks across the middle. We break out driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage slabs, and old foundations. Older streets in Timbercreek Estates and Bomber Heights have plenty of tired concrete. Our roll-off trucks take the broken concrete off the job instead of leaving a pile. On a tight lot we bring a skid loader or a compact excavator.
Benbrook Lake sits on the Clear Fork of the Trinity, and the Corps finished the dam in 1950. The ground rolls all through this side of town, from Ridglea Country Club Estates out to Whitestone Ranch. Water off a hillside picks its own path, and after decades that path may run at your slab. We regrade yards to push water away from the house and out to the street or a ditch. We cut swales and build up the low corners. When the dirt on site is no good, we haul in select fill. We also build ponds on the bigger tracts around the edge of town.
Benbrook handles its own building permits and inspections at City Hall on Winscott Road. The city works off the International Code Council series with local amendments. Demolition in Texas can also trigger an asbestos survey before a permit gets issued. Rules change, so we check current requirements with the city before a tear-down starts. We run seventeen or eighteen house demolitions at a time, plus commercial jobs. US 377 runs right through town, so our trucks and machines get in and out easy. Burleson is a short run east on I-20 and then south on 287.
