Grand Prairie stretches a long way, from the older blocks near I-30 south to Joe Pool Lake. That shape changes what demolition looks like from one end of town to the other. Up north the houses are older and the lots are smaller. Alleys run behind many of those blocks, which changes how we get equipment in. Down south around Mira Lagos and Grand Peninsula, the building is newer and the lots wider. We work out of Burleson and cover the Fort Worth side of the metroplex. Grand Prairie sits on the Dallas and Tarrant county line, so we cross it often.
We tear down houses and commercial buildings in Grand Prairie. Mobile home removal, concrete removal, pool demolition, and excavation are part of the same work. After the structure is down, we grade the site and prep the pad for what comes next. We build ponds too, mostly on the larger tracts. Monty Cain owns the company and has done demolition and dirt work here for decades. He built and sold another demolition company in this area before this one. About 20 people work for us, and we haul our own debris.

Most teardown work in Grand Prairie sits north of I-30, in 75050 and 75051. Dalworth Park goes back to the 1940s, and nearby blocks filled in around the same time. Lots there run narrow, and the house often sits close to the fence line. We bring a compact excavator when the alley or gate will not take anything bigger. On wider lots we run larger machines, up to a Kobelco 350. Old sheds and driveways usually come out with the house.
The City of Grand Prairie requires a permit before residential demolition begins. The Building Inspections Division reviews it, and the city also asks for an asbestos survey. That survey has to come from an inspector licensed by the state health department. Forms and fees change, so check the current requirements with the city before you set a date. We can handle the permit paperwork and tell you what the city needs from you. Power and gas get shut off first, and water and sewer lines are capped.
South Grand Prairie built out later, and 75052 and 75054 cover most of it. Mira Lagos and Grand Peninsula sit near Joe Pool Lake and hold newer homes on bigger lots. Work there leans toward pool demolition and concrete removal more than full teardowns. A pool can be filled in place or dug out completely. Full removal costs more, and it leaves you clean dirt you can build on. We tell you which one fits your plans for the yard. Our roll-off trucks carry the broken concrete out.
Some lots near Mountain Creek Lake and the creek bottoms hold water after a hard rain. Grading has to send water away from the house and off the pad. We grade sites and cut pads for whatever gets built next. On bigger tracts we dig ponds. Dozers and wheel loaders move the dirt, and skid loaders finish the tight spots. We run about 75 dumpsters across three roll-off trucks. That keeps us from waiting on another company to haul debris off your lot. We keep 17 to 18 house demolitions running at once, plus commercial work.
